The Tina & Tori Case Files

It’s the middle of summer holidays, it’s stinking hot, the fourth day of heat wave and everyone is at the local public pool (like, everyone). The entire kid population of Oaklands Park is just happy to be near cool water and the sugary snacks of the pool’s canteen (with limited adult supervision). Everything is pretty normal, until Victoria “Tori” Evans (much maligned co-hero of this book) is accused of “murdering” Benjamin Pham’s digital pet Mini-Mega, Percy the platypus (who had just levelled up and everything!). Tori convinces (forces) the unwilling Christina “Tina” Papadopoulos (self-proclaimed introvert, lover of puzzles and disliker of public pools) to help her solve the locked room mystery of the “Mini-Mega Murder” (because it’s the kinda nerdy stuff Tina would like, obviously) and prove Tori’s innocence for a crime she didn’t commit!

My next in-progress graphic novel is the first in a series of fun, silly adventures about pre-teen, unlikely friends solving mysteries. The first book in the series (The Mystery of the Mini-Mega Murder) is a tamagotchi murder mystery. Here are some character sketches, test comics pages and thumbnails. I’m really excited to start working on a something fictional and fun!
